New Cyco AutoManager Meridian Release Boasts Global Collaboration Framework, New Web Client User Interface, Improved Citrix Support and Enhanced CAD Support


Atlanta, GA – November 9, 2006 – Cyco Software, a leading global software company offering Engineering Data Management (EDM) solutions, announced today that it has released a new version of Cyco AutoManager Meridian.
The new Global Collaboration Framework (GCF) is now available as an optional module for Cyco AutoManager Meridian. Additionally, the 2006B release offers a new Web Client user interface and improved support for Citrix configurations. This release also supports the following new CAD releases: SolidWorks 2007, MicroStation V8 XM (8.09), Autodesk Inventor 11 SP2 and Autodesk Revit Building 8 and 9.

Global Collaboration Framework (GCF)
To cater to the needs of clients with global operations, Cyco AutoManager Meridian 2006B introduces the Global Collaboration Framework (GCF) which offers intelligent and automated tools to support workflow and collaboration between Meridian users working at separate sites located anywhere in the world. One can send single documents or entire assembly structures from one site to another, allowing multiple teams to work on the same projects. The GCF is designed to deal with document ownership and locking across multiple vaults to ensure that only one person at a time can work on any single document. The GCF is an optional module of AutoManager Meridian and GCF licenses have to be acquired separately.

New Web Client User Interface and Support for Internet Explorer 7
Cyco AutoManager Meridian WebAccess has become even more easy to use as the result of a major upgrade that aligns its user interface with the Power User desktop client and the upgraded Office Client recently introduced in the 2006 release. Additionally, the Web Client has been made compatible with the recently released version 7 of Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Improved Support for Citrix Configurations
The Cyco AutoManager Meridian Power User and Office Client can now be implemented more easily in existing Citrix environments. It is now possible to configure AutoManager Meridian to use a central server-based file share as a root directory for Local Workspace in the case of multiple Citrix servers.

Maintain CAD Data with Support for Autodesk Inventor 11 SP2 and New Support for Autodesk Revit Building 8 and 9
Cyco AutoManager Meridian 2006B provides seamless support for and upgrade to the latest service pack for Autodesk Inventor 11. Also provided is limited support for Autodesk Revit Building 8 and 9 (manual property exchange from within Revit Building).

Maintain CAD Data with Support for SolidWorks 2007
Cyco AutoManager Meridian 2006B provides seamless support for and upgrade to the SolidWorks 2007 release.

Boost Multi-CAD Integration with Support for MicroStation V8 XM (8.09)
Cyco AutoManager Meridian 2006B provides advanced capabilities for viewing and redlining using the optional Advanced Viewer, plus the capability to synchronize the properties of MicroStation V8 XM (8.09) drawings with Cyco AutoManager properties.

Other enhancements for Cyco AutoManager Meridian 2006B include
